The Good Shepherd

Quiet paintings of presence, guidance and being tenderly held.

The Good Shepherd collection — three framed original paintings arranged as a nursery gallery wall by Melinda Viljoen.
About this Collection

Some paintings arrive quietly, from long walks and longer prayers. This collection began that way — not as a project, but as a series of moments where the presence of the Shepherd felt especially near.

The Good Shepherd is a small gathering of works painted around a single, steady idea: that we are known, we are near, and we are never walking alone. The imagery draws from Psalm 23 and the parable of the lost sheep, but the invitation is wider than any single verse — it is an invitation into stillness, into being seen, into being held.

Hang these paintings where quiet is needed most — a bedside, a reading corner, a nursery, a hallway you walk past a hundred times a day. My hope is that they become gentle companions, whispering the same true thing over and over again.
